Workflow

Partner application submits account details to the KeyBank Account Validation API, which validates the request against an external validation source and returns a validation response with account status and owner match results for partner review.

Important to know

  • All KeyBank APIs require certificates, user credentials, and certain permissions.
  • Owner validation requires either the person’s full name or the business name.
  • Responses may include error codes, condition codes, primary status codes, and account-owner response values.
